I am Nguyen Thu Trang, you can call me Trang Nek or Trang Lun. I was born in 1995 in Nam Dinh, Vietnam. My love for painting came very early and has never faded — from the days of practicing traditional art with oil paint and watercolors, to formally studying at the Vietnam University of Fine Arts, where I received professional training in art theory, composition, color mixing, and modeling techniques.

After many years with traditional media, in late 2023 I started shifting to digital art — a turning point that opened up an entirely new creative world. Digital art doesn't replace what I learned; on the contrary, my traditional painting foundation helps me master digital tools faster, understand color and light more deeply, and create works with real depth rather than just technical beauty. This is also when I realized the enormous potential of digital art in bringing fine art closer to the public.

From that experience, I decided to found Tomau.ai — an online coloring platform with the goal of helping anyone color drawings according to their own preferences, without needing brushes, pens, or artistic talent. I understand that not everyone has the opportunity to study art formally like I did, but the feeling of being creative, choosing colors, and admiring a work created by your own hands — that's an experience everyone deserves. Tomau.ai was born from that wish.

I directly create and build content for the platform, so everything on Tomau.ai carries the perspective of a real brush-wielding artist: color is not just aesthetics but emotion, a good coloring page needs to be designed with intention — from the complexity of line work, color zone division, to themes suitable for each person. Everything comes from my practical experience, not made up.

My greatest passion is still coloring and drawing everything — from landscapes, portraits to the simple details of everyday life. For me, picking up a brush every day is not just work but how I observe the world and keep my creative spirit fresh.

Alongside content I personally create, Tomau.ai also has the companionship of Amelia Baker — an artisan, blogger, and single mother from the United States. Amelia is the person behind The Crafty Pioneer, where she shares her passion for crafts and DIY. With a perspective from a different culture, Amelia helps Tomau.ai become more diverse in style and themes, especially in Western-inspired coloring designs.
